Hi OP! It's actually my 1st anniversary this November for quitting smoking cigs. I just want to share my advise on how I did it. Hope this helps you too! 1. Go to your dentist for an oral prophylaxis. They will clean any nicotine that got stuck in your teeth. It prevents from your saliva to taste like nicotine and it will lessen your temptation to light a stick. 2. Always carry candy or gum - whenever you have a strong urge to smoke, just eat or chew one of these. 3. Throw away your lighter, ashtray and any remaining packs of cigs you have - I don't care how much they costs. Your health is more important that these. 4. Do cardio workouts - you'll realize how weak your lungs are after working out. You'll hate yourself for sure for smoking after this. 5. Let people know your quitting - tell your friends and family that you're serious about quitting. The more you talk about it, the more your brain will act on it. Goodluck!

I quit smoking years ago but this year has been a god damn mess and apparently according to psychiatrists I currently suffer from long-term depression and god damnit I've started smoking again...

maybe save up the money you would have spent on cigarettes and spend it all on something else at the end of the month. a good meal, a new pair of headphones, a lego set, a life size teddy bear, into your savings...... whatever it is i hope that it'll be worth it!! good luck mate
