I used to solder a lot but then I noticed I developed a cough. I stopped soldering for a while after that and the cough went away too. I was scared to start soldering again but then I bought this filter and it seems to do a good job at filtering the fumes since I’ve started soldering again and I’m not coughing anymore!

I purchased this fan to absorb extra smoke while soldering and also when I'm running a 3d print job in my office. In both instances, the fan is quiet and provides excellent suction. The build quality of the fan is very solid, and I like that the included filters can be easily removed. I had to contact the seller to get one of the filters replaced, and they were extremely helpful and mailed a replacement to me right away. Overall, I would wholeheartedly recommend this fan to anyone looking for a well-constructed smoke absorber.

This little fellow is just the device I was looking for. I have been staining a lot of furniture and I had been using a regular desk fan to blow the fumes away from my work area. Unfortunately, the fumes just blow around the room and if the doors and windows aren’t opened, the effect is worse than no fan. This little unit does an admirable job of sucking the fumes out of my way and the room doesn’t smell quite as noxious as it used to. It’s not perfect, probably because it is so diminutive. but it is a pretty good start to a solution. This unit is really good at sucking solder fumes away, and I won’t solder without it, now. It’s a touch expensive for what it is. But you know what? It works.

I got this yesterday, and so far it seems like good value. It comes with a bunch of tools, which mostly duplicate what I have, and the mat seems like it will probably hold up. I have my doubts about the longevity or utility of the little lids on some of the little parts bins, but if they tear off, I don't think it will be a problem. Having the mat makes me feel better about using the kitchen table for a work surface.

I love this smoke & fume absorber! I do alot of lead soldering in my stained glass shop. Previously, I used a regular fan to pull away the fumes and smoke, which did NOT work very well. This device works great, it is small but powerful, removes all smoke and fumes, quiet, attractive in my shop, is sturdy and sets on the countertop rather than being elevated like some. A perfect addition, a great value. I highly recommend!

I bought the magnetic soldering mat to use for some minor electronics repairs at home. It was extremely handy for my first repair project. Having the little magnetic sections to hold tiny screws was great. I only used the included tools to disassemble a Nintendo 2DS with a cracked screen, and the mat was great at gripping parts and keeping the system from slipping. My next project will be soldering somethings. Great little repair mat! There's a decent selection of basic electronics repair tools that really increase the value of everything you get here.

The fan has a pretty decent pull--you can put it 8-10 inches away and it will still grab the fumes. It's not super loud. It has a nice heavy grounded cord, and it comes with extra nice, thick filters. Very pleased!

Though the design of this unit is very basic, it is effective. Solder smoke goes in the filter side, and then nothing visible comes out the other side. I solder only occasionally, so it works well for me, but if I was soldering more regularly, or if I had large PCBs which wouldn't let me get this boxy design close to my work, I might consider something with a flexible suction arm. But for light duty work, I'd buy it again if I ever needed another. This device consists of a metal frame (about 1.1mm thick) with a 120mm fan (labeled as 110V, .25A, 3000RPM, ~3.5mm in depth), a carbon filter (120mm x ~8mm thick), and a simple on/off rocker switch.

Very nice set of a variety of tools and accessories. I am very happy with everything that shipped. Just a hobbyist, not a professional so my standards are not that high at this point. I'm sure it will meet my immediate needs. Shipping was super fast. I will put it to the test soon, but I cant imagine of me putting too much of a work load to put each screw driver, tweezer, pry bar, scalpel etc... to the test. So, I can only give you my opinion as a part time amateur hobbyist. I'm very satisfied.
